Electrical - Mechanical Consultancy Center is a production unit under management and leadership of the Corporation.
Organization model consists of:

2. Functions:
Providing engineering mechanical design services for hydraulic, hydropower projects.
Providing electrical design services of hydraulic, hydropower projects.
3. Duties:
Based on contract and outline approved by the Director General, the Electrical - Mechanical Consultancy Center is responsible for carrying out the work in accordance with quality management system ISO 9001:2000 of the Corporation ensuring time and quality.
a. Preparing investment report for mechanical work of hydraulic and hydropower projects.
- Irrigation, drainage systems.
- Reservoirs, weirs.
- Saline intrusion prevention dam.
- Other mechanical works.
- Hydropower stations with capacity under 100MW.
b. Preparing investment project and basic design for mechanical work of hydraulic, hydropower projects.
- Selecting technical - technological solutions for layout alternatives of project.
- Selecting type and capacity of major equipment.
- General layout of hydraulic mechanical equipment and hydraulic structure mechanical equipment.
- Selecting supplying method of major technological equipment.
- Determining capacity, type of equipment for auxiliary equipment system of power plant (oil system, water supply system, ventilation system, fire alarm and fire fighting system, explosion alarm and prevention system.
c. Preparing technical design and total cost estimation, detailed design and cost estimation (for 3-step project), detailed design (for 2-step project) of mechanical work (hydraulic mechanical and hydraulic structure mechanical) of hydraulic, hydropower projects.
d. Supervising mechanical design document in construction site.
e. Construction supervision for mechanical work (in hydraulic and hydropower projects).
f. Reviewing, appraising mechanical design documents of hydraulic, hydropower projects.
g. Delivering design documents at the time specified in signed contract.
h. Guiding, training mechanical students.
i. Supplying consulting services on design, inspection, supervision, internal and external bidding of electrical work, electrical equipment and control of hydraulic, hydropower project.
j. Supplying consulting services on design, inspection, supervision, internal and external bidding of transformer station and power line up to 110KV.
